Peter Bergan, Founder (1929 - 2012)
After earning a BS from LeMoyne College and serving in the U.S. Army, Peter went into the insurance business in 1954. He first worked for the Insurance Company of North America, and then in 1963 Peter purchased a small insurance agency in Union Springs. In 1968, Peter purchased the William “Ky” Young Agency, Inc., which was founded in 1929 as the Auburn Agency.
Douglas Bergan
Douglas is responsible for internal management and customer service. He has a BS from LeMoyne College and a MS from Syracuse University. He joined the agency in 1987, and has handled both personal and commercial customers.
Douglas is a New York State Licensed Property & Casualty Agent, Licensed Property & Casualty Broker and Licensed Life Agent. Douglas is a resident of Auburn.
Patrick Bergan
Patrick is responsible for claims, sales and customer service. He received his initial insurance training at the Aetna Home Office Sales Course, which at the time was a six-week residential program in Hartford, Connecticut. He received awards for placing in the top five percent academically and for participation on the winning team in a course-long skills and case study competition.
Patrick is a New York State Licensed Property & Casualty Agent, Licensed Property & Casualty Broker and Licensed Life Agent. He lives in Sennett with his wife Amy and their children.
